Who can apply for membership?+
The Alliance is composed of Southern African states. Membership is open to states in the region that wish to engage in regional coordination on Article 6 and climate finance.
How does the Alliance work with project developers?+
The Alliance does not directly procure, register, or transact carbon credits. Project developers should contact the relevant Designated National Authority in each member state.
How are National Focal Points appointed?+
Each member state designates a National Focal Point through its ministry responsible for climate change. The Secretariat maintains a directory of current NFPs.
